Before the show is over, the first thing is to do the fittings, where the angels will find out which pair of wings they are allowed to wear over the runway and who may present the coveted Fantasy Bra. The show took place there on November 8th and will be broadcasted on TV soon. We can not wait to see you!

These musicians will perform

Just before the show, Victoria Secret has revealed which musicians will perform on the biggest fashion stage in the world. Bebe Rexha, The Chainsmokers, Halsey, Kelsea Ballerini, Rita Ora, Shawn Mendes and The Struts have rocked the VS stage and accompanied our favorite angels on the runway with their top hits!

Every year, the famous lingerie label only books the best musicians for its fashion show. World stars like Taylor Swift, Justin Bieber, Ed Sheeran, Rihanna and many more have already performed on the VS runway! Just like singer Rita Ora in her Instagram post, we’re thrilled to see the next show on TV. 😍

We will see these angels on the runway

In addition to the already under contracted angels such as Elsa Hosk, Romee Strijd, Taylor Hill and Co., every year new faces have the chance to introduce themselves to the most famous underwear brand in the world. This year, ex-GNTM winner Stefanie Giesinger as well as ex-participant Lara Helmer were sighted.

Unfortunately, they did not make it to the callbacks, and yet there is a German beauty that we can look forward to at the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show 2018. 24-year-old Lorena Rae confirmed her participation on Instagram: “I’m still grinning from ear to ear and could not be happier finding out that I’m allowed to be in the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show this year.”

Last year Instagram beauty had already introduced itself to the casting directors, but at the time it was not able to prevail against its many competitors. All the more we are happy with her, that it worked this year and she could fulfill a lifelong dream.

The big comeback Behati

Veteran Alessandra Ambrosio hung the angel wings on her heels after the last show last year and confirmed the sad news via her Instagram channel. But we could look forward to two big comebacks: Candice Swanepoel and Behati Prinsloo were finally back! Both supermodels did not run for the lingerie label in 2016 because they were pregnant at the time. Candice gave birth to her second child after her last show, but again ran for Victoria’s Secret this year. We could not wait to greet the newly minted mum on the most important catwalk in the world!

For the same reason we unfortunately had to do without top model Lily Aldridge. Your daughter Dixie will soon get a sibling! Although the young mom was pregnant at the last New York Fashion Week – and this in her fifth month – she may be holding her newborn in November and therefore can not be there!

Kendall Jenner and Gigi Hadid are back

As this year’s Victoria’s Secret Show drew ever closer, new news reached us daily about the biggest fashion event of the year. The official shoe designer of the show, Brian Atwood, post posted two pictures on his Instagram account, confirming the big comeback of Gigi Hadid and Kendall Jenner.

Gigi Hadid’s refusal for the last show came on the tweet shortly before the event: “I am very sad that I am not going to China this year, I love my VS family and will be in the spirit of all my girls! do not expect to get in touch with everyone to see the, as I know, beautiful show! “. The visa of the model was not approved at the last second, so Gigi was not allowed to enter Asia for the show.

Unfortunately, supermodel Kendall Jenner did not become a catwalk angel in 2017 for a million-dollar reason: The 22-year-old signed a contract with lingerie label “La Perla”, the big competitor of Victoria’s Secret, and therefore did without her Wing.

Model Toni Garrn will also run for Victoria’s Secret in 2018

The second German model that received a pledge is none other than Toni Garrn. The 26-year-old has been running for the lingerie brand three times since 2011 and announced on Instagram her renewed participation with the words “I’m back B **** s”. She is very happy to be back on the “funniest runway ever” and wants to make sure that we get the coolest show ever in 2018.

In addition to the label-bound angels such as Josephine Skriver or Jasmine Tookes, over 30 other models have received a firm commitment to attend the show in November. In addition to Lorena other Instagram beauties such as Georgia Fowler, Maia Cotton, Iesha Hodges, Cheyenne Maya, Shanina Shaik, Gizele Oliveira, Barbara Fialho and the Austrian Nadine Leopold were pleased.

In addition, top model Barbara Palvin had her comeback on the most famous catwalk in the world. Even model Winnie Harlow, who made her skin disease Vitiligo her trademark, and fashion colleague Devon Windsor ran for the brand.

Winnie Harlow cares for Diversity this year

A dream comes true for Winnie Harlow! She, too, was one of the fortunate chosen to run for the lingerie label. Hard she has worked for this goal, because already last year, the successful Canadian revealed in an interview how much she longed for the participation in the show. When the casting directors then told her the good news, the model did not speak because of tears of joy. Of course, we are looking forward to her and are looking forward to her catwalk debut!

Elsa Hosk will wear the Fantasy Bra!

The closer the show gets, the more excited we are to find out which model has the honor of wearing the Fantasy Bra this season. Each year, Victoria’s Secret selects an angel to perform the jeweled bra on the catwalk. So far, the greatest top models of the moment, such as Adriana Lima, Gisele Bundchen, Miranda Kerr or Heidi Klum, have been chosen to showcase this gem.

The lingerie section, which has a value of several million dollars, is the highlight of the annual show and rightly so! In 2017, model Lais Ribeiro was able to present the flowered diamond dream – in 2018 Elsa Hosk is the lucky bearer of the $ 1 million Bras, which was handcrafted and studded with 2,100 Swarovski diamonds.

Charlotte Tilbury is the official make-up partner

The Secret is out … Charlotte Tilbury is the official make-up partner of the upcoming Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show! The beauty queen has made the models into angels backstage in the past shows and is overjoyed to be the exclusive sponsor and head of make-up of the event this year. Charlotte Tilbury celebrates the fifth anniversary of her own cosmetics brand in New York, together with the most successful lingerie label in the world.

Designer cooperation for Victoria’s Secret Show 2018:Mary Katrantzou

The British label Mary Katrantzou was the second designer collaboration for Victoria’s Secret. The brand, which just celebrated its 10th anniversary at London Fashion Week, is known for eye-catching prints and bright colors.

The designs were created in close collaboration with the team of Victoria’s Secret and also the angels were allowed to contribute their feedbak. “I wanted the collection to be colorful, constructive, bold and strong, designed to empower women to enjoy their underwear and feel free to explore patterns and color as second skin,” said Mary Katrantzou American Vogue. The pieces could be worn as underwear as well as outerwear.

The collection will be a mix of girly and sexy. The limited edition line, priced at between € 17 and € 104, will be available online and in selected stores of the label. We are very excited to see more pieces of the collection!

Victoria’s Secret Criticized for Body Positivity

As exciting as the preparations for the show are, at Momet it also hails a lot of criticism for the famous lingerie label. Although Victoria’s Secret is aiming for a new direction with model Winnie Harlow this year, that’s not enough. For years, the brand has been accused of representing a uniform beauty and although we saw a lot of “diversity” on the catwalks of the world this year, no plus-size model will be part of the show.

Economically, too, the times are no longer the best for Victoria’s Secret: sales are declining, viewers are getting fewer and the collections are no longer reaching the young target group as before. Nevertheless, the fashion show is still one of the most important events of the fashion world and many millions of people will follow the spectacle again this year.
