Parineeti Chopra has kick started shooting of Saina Nehwal’s biopic. The makers of the film first roped in Sharddha Kapoor for the film.
However, after a few days of training, when Shraddha was unable to get a grip over the character, the role went on to Parineeti Chopra.
It was speculated that the event might create bad blood between the actresses but in an exclusive interview with Cosmopolitan India, Parineeti put a hold on all such rumours.
While listing her friends in the industry, the actress named Shraddha. She said, “I love Shraddha [Kapoor], Sona [Sonakshi Sinha], and Alia Bhatt.”
The Saina Nehwal biopic incident hasn’t affected Parineeti’s relation with Shraddha as she said, “You know, there used to be a lot of talk about how women in Bollywood never got along, but the new crop of actors, both male and female, are all good friends. Since the time I started out, I’ve never been pitted against a fellow actresswe’ve only been compared professionally, and that, I feel, is extremely healthy.”
Parineeti also shared details about the rigorous routine that she is following to get under the skin of the character. Parineeti wakes up at 5am every morning, works out, then heads to the court at 6am and trains for two hours straight. “We’ve booked courts in slots so that there are no distractions. I will have to live this regimented life for the next nine months, but I am super-kicked about it,” she said.
